In addition to your courses, we endeavor to provide a variety of on-campus opportunities to support your vocational discernment, professional formation, and, eventually, law school application and selection process. Check out the opportunities below to learn more about what’s going on this semester.

Pre-Law Programming: Spring 2024

Vocational Discernment Cohorts

For many students, the law Pre-Law pathway through college can feel disconnected and uncertain. Our vocational discernment cohorts are designed to bring students together for regular meetings that provide them with a community committed to their growth in character and professional formation.

Spring Reading Group: The Significant Lawyer

This Spring, our cohorts will be combined as we come together to discuss a common reading, William S. Duffy, Jr’s 2022 book, The Significant Lawyer. Duffy served the legal professions both as a Federal Judge and as a partner at King and Spalding. His book poses three big questions: what does it mean to succeed in the legal professions? What does it look like to practice the law with integrity? What challenges must legal professionals navigate to maintain their integrity?

Reading Groups will meet once a week, Kicking off in late March and concluding in April!

Students with questions are encouraged to email Dr. Bryan M Ellrod!

Workshops

LSAT Tutoring

Are you Preparing to take the LSAT this summer? In February, we will launch an 8-week LSAT tutoring program, supported by two outstanding members of Wake Law’s Leadership and Character Cohort. Once a week these law students will meet with undergraduate students to answer questions about the test, workshop relevant skills, and foster the resilience necessary for the exam and law school itself.
